
Francis Cabot Lowell
Francis was an American Industrialist born in 1775 later known for creating one of the largest textile factories in America. While on a trip to the British Isles Francis studied the textile industries in Lancashire and in Scotland. When he came back to America he co-founded the Boston Manufacturing Company with his brother in-law Patrick Tracy Jackson and Nathan Appleton, they called it Waltham Mass.
While Industrial Revolution did not start in America until the late 1700s, Great Britain was mainly the first country to start industrializing. Eventually it became a big thing and made its way to North America because the South was mainly for farming and producing cotton that would be used to make a lot of the products from the factories. While cotton was one of the main resources need iron, steel, and coal was the also the main resources.
